Uses
It is rich in calcium, iron, carotene, and riboflavin and its harvested leaves are widely used as a food flavoring and seasoning herb for meat and many other foods.
The leaves are often used to brew an herbal tea, which is known as a treatment against fevers, diabetes, constipation, pneumonia, diarrhea or flu. When prepared as a decoction, the leaves act as a painkiller and can reduce inflammation
